What are your late invoices worth?

When a business customer pays late, UK and EU law usually lets you add interest, and often a fixed fee per invoice, unless your contract says otherwise. Enter your overdue invoices for a rough estimate. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Overdue invoices

Enter at least one invoice amount and how many days late it is.

How this is worked out. Simple interest on each invoice for the number of days late you enter, counted from the day after the due date. Preset rates apply from 1 July to 31 December 2026. UK: 8% plus the Bank of England base rate of 3.75%, under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, with fixed compensation of £40 under £1,000, £70 from £1,000 to £9,999.99, and £100 for £10,000 or more. EU countries: the statutory rate in each country’s table, plus at least €40 per invoice under the Late Payment Directive. A rate agreed in your contract usually comes first.

This is an estimate for business-to-business invoices, not legal advice. It doesn’t account for part payments, disputes, older rate periods or consumer customers.
